Marshall helming 'Nine' film adaptation


April 13, 2007 The film and play are adapted from Federico Fellini's 1963 classic autobiographical feature "8 1/2," following the life of a famed film director and the many women in his life. Marshall last teamed with Weinstein Co. co-head Harvey Weinstein on the Oscar-winning musical "Chicago" while the exec was at Miramax Films. Weinstein Co. executive vp business and legal affairs Eric Roth and senior vp business and legal affairs Laine Kline negotiated the deal on behalf of the distributor.
