Robert Carlyle made Edinburgh patron


July 01, 2008 Robert Carlyle has joined Sean Connery and Tilda Swinton as a patron of the Edinburgh International Film Festival, organizers said Tuesday. EIFF artistic director Hannah McGill described Carlyle as "a loyal supporter of the festival and a passionate advocate for the domestic industry." Said Carlyle, "It was a great honor to be asked by Sir Sean, and I am delighted to become a Patron of the EIFF -- a festival that showcases the best of Scottish, British and international filmmaking."
