Vivendi gets rights to 'Tennessee'

September 11, 2008 Vivendi Entertainment has acquired all domestic rights to the singing actress' film "Tennessee," which premiered at this spring's Tribeca Film Festival. The Lee Daniels Entertainment production is a quiet and at times moody drama centering on two lower-middle class brothers (Adam Rothenberg and Ethan Peck) who take to the road to resolve their economic and health challenges. Vivendi's Yolanda Macias negotiated the deal with Jonathan Gray of Gary Krauss LLP and the film's sales reps, CAA and Submarine Entertainment.
