'Hong Kong Phooey' lands Goodman


July 12, 2009 David Goodman has been tapped to pen "Hong Kong Phooey," Alcon's take on the Hanna-Barbera cartoon being produced by the company's Andrew Kosove and Andrew Johnson. The cartoon, which aired in the mid-1970s, concerned a kung-fu fighting dog and his sidekick cat who fight crime. Goodman, an executive producer and writer on "The Family Guy," worked on "Who is Killing the Great Chefs?" a remake of the 1978 movie "Who Is Killing the Great Chefs of Europe?" which is set up at Warner Bros.
