Jonathan Ross to return to BBC

January 06, 2009 The star, rumored to be the BBC's highest paid entertainment talent, was suspended without pay for three months after he and fellow comedian Russell Brand left obscene messages on the voicemail of former "Fawlty Towers" star Andrew Sachs. The radio broadcast generated more than 40,000 complaints, forcing the resignation of BBC Radio 2 head Lesley Douglas and head of compliance Dave Barber. The BBC is keeping plans for the show under wraps, and it is not clear how the pubcaster plans to rehabilitate the star, who has taken a battering on newspaper opinion pages for his role in the affair.
