Adrienne Shelly memorial set for NYC
July 30, 2009 A memorial garden honoring the late actor-writer-director Adrienne Shelly will be unveiled in a ceremony Monday at Abingdon Square Park, located at 8th Avenue and 12th Street in New York. Andy Ostroy, Shelly's widower and executive director of the Adrienne Shelly Foundation, which supports female filmmakers, will give a brief dedication speech. The project is spearheaded by Ostroy, with the support of Community Board 2, the Abingdon Square Alliance and the Greenwich Village Block Assn.
