Chris Rock 'Hair' doc headed to theaters
May 14, 2009 Roadside Attractions and Liddell Entertainment have acquired worldwide rights to Chris Rock's "Good Hair." The HBO Films documentary, which won a special jury prize when it premiered at Sundance in January, looks at hair culture in the black community. Lionsgate will handle home video and other domestic ancillary rights, and HBO will retain pay cable rights and broadcast the film in its traditional pay TV window.
