U2 performs 'Streets' on Croisette


May 21, 2007 U2 rocked Cannes' red carpet Saturday, playing to thousands of filmgoers and fans before a late-night screening of their new concert movie, "U2 3D." Directed by Catherine Owens and Mark Pellington, "U2 3D" captures the band during their Vertigo tour, performing hits that span their career, from "Sunday, Bloody Sunday" to "Beautiful Day." Band members appear to leap off the screen during the 55-minute film, set to be released in theaters this year.
