'Lord of the Rings' video game in the works


May 08, 2008 Electronic Arts' subsidiary Pandemic Studios is partnering with New Line Cinema on a new "Lord of the Rings" video game to be released this fall. A Pandemic spokesman said that in addition to its licensing role, New Line is providing 3-D models and other movie assets for use in the game being developed for multiple platforms, including the Microsoft Xbox 360, Sony PlayStation 3, PC and Nintendo DS portable system.
