ABC closes deals for 'V,' 'Deep End'
May 15, 2009 Twenty-five years after it made a splash on television, "V" is coming back to primetime. ABC late Friday closed a deal to pick up to series Warner Bros.' reimagining of the 1980s mini "V" as well as 20th TV's "The Deep End" (formerly "Associates"). The down-to-the-wire negotiations underscore the level of intense bargaining this season where the networks put a lot of pressure on the studios, especially outside suppliers, to lower license fees and cut orders.
