Anchor Bay to distribute 'Surfer'


May 13, 2008 Anchor Bay Entertainment has acquired U.S. distribution rights to the Matthew McConaughey comedy "Surfer, Dude." Anchor Bay, whose primary business is home entertainment, has been moving toward independent theatrical releases with films such as "The Grand" and "Sex and Death 101." Jason Berk and Matt Lane executive produced and financed the project through Berk/Lane Entertainment, with additional financing provided by Winchester Capital Management.
