Cast grows for 'It's a Wonderful Afterlife'

April 01, 2009 Shooting now in the U.K., the picture features Indian actress Shabana Azmi in the lead role and reunites some of Chadha's "Bend It Like Beckham" cast including Shaheen Khan, Ash Varrez and Adlyn Ross. Billed as "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" meets "Shaun of the Dead," producer-director Chadha's latest was penned with her writing partner and husband, Paul Mayeda Berges. The film is being co-produced by the AIM-listed the Indian Film Co. and Bend It Films in association with Studio 18, India's leading motion picture company.
