'White Collar' nearing pickup at USA
March 24, 2009 USA is close to giving a series order to "White Collar," with the pickup expected to be sealed after final details are worked out. "Collar," from Fox TV Studios and creator Jeff Eastin, revolves around the unlikely pairing of a brilliant con artist (Matthew Bomer) and the head of the FBI's white-collar crime unit (Tim DeKay). "Collar" was one of three 90-minute cast-contingent pilots that top cable network USA ordered last year, all of which, including "Royal Pains" and "Operating Instructions," got cast and produced.
