20th TV alters its media, marketing

July 20, 2009 Mark Pearson, senior vp brand management, will take over the studio's marketing and research departments, while Chris Alexander, senior vp corporate communications, will head 20th TV's publicity and talent relations departments. Under the studio's previous management setup, marketing and publicity were combined in a single department headed by marketing senior vp Steven Melnick, with Pearson overseeing the studio's brand management. Alexander most recently spearheaded the Emmy campaigns for the studio's comedies "Family Guy" and "How I Met Your Mother," both of which landed their first best series nominations.
