ABC's Roger Goodman joins Oscars team
October 24, 2008 Producer Laurence Mark and exec producer Bill Condon, who have been charged with rethinking the Oscar ceremony, have turned to an Oscar newbie, Roger Goodman, to direct the 81st Annual Academy Awards. In addition, Goodman, who has won 25 Emmys, directed and co-executive produced ABC News' 24-hour global news and entertainment coverage of the turning of the millennium, which involved more than 200 cameras, 32 satellites, four control rooms and staff of more than 1,000 technicians.
