'Pirates' haul begins: $58 mil in two days
May 26, 2007 Mark Zoradi, president of Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures Marketing and Distribution, said that $17 million came from Thursday night domestic showings across the U.S., $12.1 million from 13 foreign territories that opened on Wednesday, and $29 million from Thursday showings in a total of 39 territories. The third in the adventure trilogy starring Johnny Depp expanded to 102 overseas markets on Friday, including such key countries as Japan, Mexico, Spain, and Brazil, Disney said.
