Made in NY honors Falco, 'Sesame Street'
June 15, 2009 Edie Falco and "Sesame Street" were among the honorees of the fourth annual Made in NY awards presented by Mayor Michael Bloomberg at Gracie Mansion on Monday night. Broadway composer and lyricist Lin-Manuel Miranda; Gerry Byrne, senior vp for the Entertainment Group at Nielsen Business Media, of which The Hollywood Reporter is part; commercial production firm Hungry Man; and the Alliance for Inclusion in the Arts, a not-for-profit advocacy organization. The Bloomberg team recently presented a plan to extend tax credits at 4% rather than the current 5%, and the industry had made a 5% proposal.
