Dueling suits to be heard in same courthouse
October 03, 2008 Dueling lawsuits filed by the MPAA and RealNetworks will be heard in the same courthouse, a Los Angeles federal judge has ruled. The MPAA wants to stop RealNetworks from distributing its new software, RealDVD, because it allegedly violates federal law by allowing users to illegally copy DVDs. RealNetworks is seeking a court declaration that its software is in full compliance with the law.
