Nickelodeon assembles 'The Troop'
May 11, 2009 The show, which has received a 26-episode order, is part of the cable network's stepped-up efforts to expand its live-action offerings. An action adventure with sci-fi elements and CG animation, "Troop" revolves around three high school students who battle monsters after school. To beef up the series' comedic quotient, Lynch has tapped Emmy-winning comedy writer Jay Kogen ("Frasier") to run it.
