'Old Christine' is new to Lifetime
July 09, 2009 Domestic TV Distribution, Lifetime will hold the exclusive cable rights to all 88 episodes of "Old Christine," which stars Julia Louis-Dreyfus as a maxed-out working mother. By way of announcing the pick-up, JoAnn Alfano, executive vp, entertainment, Lifetime Networks, said the show is "funny, modern, smart and relatable -- a perfect fit for our brand." Entering its fifth season on CBS, where it kicks off the network's Wednesday night comedy lineup, "Old Christine" has weathered some ratings erosion of late, losing 31% of its audience during the 2008-09 campaign with an average delivery of 6.9 million viewers.
