'Watchmen' has already broken a record


March 04, 2009 Further aiding its much-watched bow, the Zack Snyder-helmed comic book adaptation will play in an impressive 1,600 locations starting at midnight Thursday. Warners distribution president Dan Fellman said "Watchmen" wasn't a tough sell with theater owners. "The reaction at our exhibitor screenings was terrific, and after the success of '300,' there wasn't an exhibitor in the country who didn't want to play Zack Snyder's next movie," Fellman said.
