Brian Philips is new CMT president


March 03, 2009 Philips, who was upped from executive vp and GM, will continue to oversee CMT, CMT Films, CMT.com, CMT Pure Country and all brand extensions. "Brian's got the soul of a poet, the creative pulse of a musician and the mind of a sage TV executive" said Toffler. Philips has been at the helm of the country music network since 2001.
