Cologne Conference adds indie film section


July 02, 2009 German media festival and confab the Cologne Conference has added a new section focusing on independent cinema. The new sidebar will run alongside the Cologne Conference's TopTen section, featuring international TV and film highlights from the past year, as well as the Look section, which focuses on productions with an unusual visual aesthetic. The Hollywood Reporter is the festival's media partner and will again this year present The Hollywood Reporter Award honoring innovation in the German media industry, at a gala awards ceremony Oct. 3.
