Rod Lurie set to write and direct 'Hilary Jones'
June 27, 2008 The premium cable network has teamed with Rod Lurie for "Hilary Jones," a drama about a woman who works as a vice cop in Los Angeles during the week and as a legal prostitute in Nevada during the weekend. Lurie is known for creating strong female characters with the feature "The Contender" and the ABC series "Commander in Chief." Lurie took the project straight to Showtime because of "Weeds," the network's dark comedy starring Mary-Louise Parker as pot-dealing widowed mom Nancy Botwin.
