Injured 'Mermaid' actor sues Disney
September 25, 2008 The show's prop and set manufacturers also are named in the suit, filed Thursday in Manhattan Supreme Court. The suit, which seeks unspecified monetary damages, alleges that Bailey's injuries "were caused by the carelessness, negligence and recklessness of the defendants." Bailey also is suing George Tsypin Design and Showman Fabricators, two companies based in Queens that design, manufacture and assemble sets, and Niscon, a Canadian company that specializes in motion control systems for the entertainment industry.
