Actors unions on road to making amends
October 20, 2008 On Saturday, SAG's national board approved a proposed agreement outlining conditions under which the two performers' unions would return to their Phase One joint-bargaining agreement to negotiate a new commercials contract. The AFL-CIO was brought into the fray to help facilitate an agreement between the two unions, which have been at odds ever since AFTRA suspended Phase One with SAG and negotiated its own primetime/TV contract.
