'Men in Black' scribe takes shot at 'Hardy Men'


February 12, 2009 "Men in Black" writer Ed Solomon has been hired to take a crack at "The Hardy Men," a comic riff on the classic young-adult mystery novels about two brothers who solve crimes. The Hardy Boys adventures revolved around the mystery-solving efforts of teenagers Frank and Joe Hardy, amateur detectives who often helped their father, a private investigator. Last year, the company released the $185 million-grossing "Tropic Thunder," the starring-writing-directing vehicle for Stiller that included Cruise in a small role.
