Cuban brings 3-D hoops to theater
March 21, 2008 High-definition pioneer Mark Cuban is using his NBA team and Landmark Theatres chain to orchestrate a rare 3-D broadcast of a live event. Tuesday night's NBA game between Cuban's Dallas Mavericks and the Los Angeles Clippers will be presented live in 3-D via satellite to fans at a theater in Dallas. FSN will work with Burbank-based 3-D production innovator Pace, which supplied its Fusion 3-D camera system and mobile unit as well as the production crew.
