CBS Films nabs 'My Spy'
June 23, 2008 Slater, who's repped by UTA and Kaplan/Perrone, is the writer behind the MGM psychological thriller "Pet" and also landed on the writer hot sheet known as the black list with his script "Score." The prolific di Bonaventura has a previous project in development at CBS Films, "Protect and Defend," a political thriller based on Vince Flynne's novel. After a more deliberately paced period in which the nascent label concentrated on ramping up and fielding pitches, CBS Films is now picking up speed; the company is in active development, for example, on the Harrison Ford-toplined medical drama "Crowley."
