Bewkes: TWC move coming


March 12, 2008 Speaking at the Bear Stearns Media Conference in Palm Beach, Fla., Bewkes also shrugged off suggestions that TW's core content businesses were mature, saying international expansion and digital growth would provide significant upside. Asked how a combined Microsoft-Yahoo would affect AOL, Bewkes said as a positive, that it would "verify the value" of AOL's advertising platform. In regards to AOL's sluggish advertising trends in recent quarters, Bewkes said the unit likely will see "one more quarter" of sluggish or no growth because of users who migrated to the free AOL service.
