Hedges makes 'Changes' for Columbia

October 26, 2007 Maguire is eyeing the project as a starring vehicle. Tropper's novel, published in March 2006, centers on a man on the verge of marrying the perfect girl when he undergoes a life crisis as he faces feelings for his recently deceased best friend's wife and also deals with the sudden arrival of his womanizing, estranged father. Hedges was hired to adapt the book awhile back and fell in love with the material, ultimately deciding that he wanted to helm the project.
