Actresses ride 'Beautiful Wave'
July 07, 2009 The trio are set to star in "Beautiful Wave," a surfing coming-of-age drama that David Mueller is directing from a script he co-wrote with Lynn Salt. "Wave" centers on a teenager (Teegarden) who goes to live with her grandmother (Richardson) in Santa Cruz, Calif., one summer and discovers the sport of surfing -- and a family secret as well. Richardson is best known for her role on the series "Home Improvement," Teegarden broke out on "Friday Night Lights" and Slater -- who, like Richardson and Teegarden, is repped by Innovative Artists -- co-starred in a slew of films including "The Secret of My Success" and "City Slickers."
