October 02, 2007 Google's YouTube will hold a short film contest that will be judged in part by director Jason Reitman. The Hewlett-Packard-sponsored competition, dubbed Project Direct, will start on Oct. 7 and will be accepting entries until Nov. 9. Reitman, director of the 2005 Fox Searchlight release "Thank You For Smoking" and the upcoming Searchlight film "Juno," will judge the initial entries along with a panel and will narrow the field down to 20 videos.
