Outsider in with 'Klimt,' 'Apples'

January 11, 2007 Outsider Pictures is bringing two foreign films to North America: the European artist biopic "Klimt," starring John Malkovich, and Denmark's 2005 Oscar submission, the black comedy "Adam's Apples." Writer-director Raul Ruiz's "Klimt" centers on the late 19th century Austrian artist Gustav Klimt (Malkovich) and his many affairs, including a sexually charged romance with his muse (Saffron Burrows). Outsider obtained all Canadian and U.S. theatrical and select U.S. television rights to the comedy, which was produced by Mie Andreasen and Tivi Magnusson and executive produced by Kim Magnusson.
