SAG hopes to resume talks


October 26, 2008 SAG is hoping to resume negotiations with the help of a federal mediator. On Friday, the actors' union leaders, including SAG president Alan Rosenberg, SAG's national executive director and chief negotiator Doug Allen and Ray Rodriguez, the deputy national executive director for contracts, met with federal mediator Juan Carlos Gonzalez at the union's headquarters in Los Angeles. In a statement, SAG said the leadership discussed with Gonzalez its request for mediation and "the possibilities regarding the resumption of negotiations."
