MGM is continuing to beef up its domestic theatrical distribution operations and has added three Weinstein Co. releases to its slate, the company said Wednesday.
The three films joining MGM's growing slate are "Bobby," which revisits the night Robert F. Kennedy was assassinated at L.A.'s Ambassador Hotel in 1968; the Renee Zellweger starrer ; and the Roman period drama "The Last Legion."
"By continuing to feed the domestic theatrical distribution pipeline, we are assured of growing and extending the valuable MGM brand while remaining competitive in today's rapid-fire media environment," MGM chief operating officer Rick Sands said.
