Representing the world's largest living room, the cavernous Radio City Music Hall was perhaps not the most ideal venue for Carole King's "Living Room Tour," which landed there Wednesday night. The sold-out hometown show -- a two-hour-plus evening in which the singer-songwriter performs intimate versions of dozens of her self-penned numbers -- would have been far better showcased, if not as profitable, in such a venue as Carnegie Hall or the Beacon. The performer well demonstrated the songwriting versatility that has fueled her career through more than four decades.
