The lawmaker in charge of GOP outreach efforts to the entertainment industry has abruptly resigned after a questionable e-mail exchange between Rep. Mark Foley, R-Fla., and a 16-year-old page emerged.
A moderate who began his political career as a Democrat, Foley was a member of the House and Means Committee and a deputy whip.
The congressman also asked the boy to send a photo of himself, according to excerpts of the e-mails that originally were released by ABC News.
