The main characters are Harry (Bryce Johnson), a 23-year-old former boy band idol, and Max (Cole Williams), the 16-year old brother who, thanks to his exposure in Teeny Bopper magazine, is following on his heels. The film details the numerous family, romantic and personal crises afflicting the two, including their troubled relationship with their parents (Michelle Phillips cameos as the mother) and Harry's broken relationship with his ex-girlfriend Nikki (Rain Phoenix). "Harry and Max" presents these shocking sexual roundelays, not to mention its incest theme, in a highly casual manner that is more disturbing than illuminating.
