While Cinderella stories still predominate, every now and then we get a "Mean Girls" or a "Little Black Book," which find ways to slip serious satirical themes into these Girl-Gets-or-Loses-Boy tales. "Little Black Book" is, yes, a story about a young woman, played by popular actress Brittany Murphy, who raids her boyfriend's Palm Pilot to explore his romantic past. The comedy is mostly aimed at teenage females, but boyfriends, older sisters and even parents may find things at which to smile or even laugh.
