Writer Ed Solomon is breathing a new lease on life into Paramount's long-gestating Roald Dahl adaptation "The Big Friendly Giant." Solomon ("Men in Black," "Charlie's Angels"), who most recently penned "The In-Laws," has come on board to rewrite the adaptation of the popular book by the British author who created such classics as "James and the Giant Peach," "Matilda" and "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory," which is in production at Warner Bros.
