John Polson has signed on to direct writer Emil Stern's adaptation of Robert Cormier's teen serial killer novel "Tenderness," GreeneStreet Films announced Wednesday. GreeneStreet is financing the project and producing it with Howard Meltzer of Turtleback Prods. The book, from best-selling author Cormier ("The Chocolate War"), tells of a teen runaway who becomes entangled with a charming serial killer around her own age.
