Polanski arrested, could face extradition to U.S.


September 27, 2009 Oscar-winning director Roman Polanski has been arrested in Switzerland and could face extradition to the U.S. on a decades-old sex charge. The director was en route to the Zurich Film Festival, where he was scheduled to receive a lifetime achievement award. The Zurich Film Festival canceled Saturday's ceremony and condemned the arrest.
