Fox Business Network gets Zucker-punched
October 30, 2007 The battle between NBC and Fox over financial news ratcheted up Monday when NBC chief Jeff Zucker waved aside Fox Business Network's chances of competing with CNBC. Sounding like Viacom CEO Philippe Dauman, who last month said the departure of Steven Spielberg and David Geffen from Paramount would be "completely immaterial" to Viacom's bottom line, Zucker dismissed the financial implications of FBN on NBC. "From a business standpoint it's had no impact," Zucker said of the new News Corp. channel.
