'Harry Potter' breaks midnight record


July 15, 2009 Setting a new all-time record for midnight boxoffice, "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" rung up an estimated $22.2 million from 3,003 midnight performances Wednesday. The sixth installment in Warner Bros.' oh-so-lucrative film franchise continues its first day of release in 4,275 domestic locations. "We're ecstatic," Warners domestic distribution president Dan Fellman said.
