LeVar Burton joins Oldenburg jury


August 22, 2008 Actor, author and filmmaker LeVar Burton will chair the German Independence Award jury at the 15th International Filmfest Oldenburg. Burton also will present the world premiere of his latest drama "Reach for Me," starring veteran character actor Seymour Cassell. Burton, who was born in Germany, joins director John Gallagher, producer Jennifer Gatien, French actress Fanny Bastien and Brazilian film sales executive Rosana Coutinho on the Oldenburg jury, which will pick the best German film to be shown at the festival.
