Hero acquires 'Vanity'

March 20, 2008 Hero Pictures International has picked up a pitch by director Bobby Garabedian, screenwriter Adam Simon and producer Elkin Antoniou titled "Vanity." The CBS Studios-based Hero paid in the low-six figures for the "Babel"-like story that interconnects teens and young adults across continents who are dealing with major issues in their lives. Hero CEO Maria Rodriguez-Rabadan added that the film has "a huge commercial potential" because it is a "hip urban international drama for the most savvy, interconnected generation of young adults ever to exist."
