Par tracks down 'Sleuth' rights


March 27, 2007 Paramount Pictures International has picked up U.K., Australia, New Zealand and South African distribution rights to Kenneth Branagh's update of "Sleuth," starring Jude Law and Michael Caine. Based on Anthony Shaffer's Tony award-winning play -- which was made into a 1972 film starring Caine and Lawrence Olivier -- the updated version has been scripted by Harold Pinter.
