Trio sneaking up on AMC pilot

December 04, 2008 Oscar-nominated actress Miranda Richardson, Christopher Evan Welch and Lauren Hodges are in negotiations to co-star in AMC's untitled political thriller from writer Jason Horwitch and Warner Horizon. Allen Coulter has come on board to direct the drama pilot, which revolves around a secret society that pulls the strings on the world political stage and a brilliant analyst at a national think tank who discovers that his employers are not who they seem to be. Richardson will play the widow of a billionaire who dies mysteriously, leaving her a cryptic message.
