Roadside Attractions picks up 'Goodbye Solo'
November 07, 2008 Set in the director's hometown of Winston-Salem, N.C., "Solo" tracks the unlikely, life-changing friendship between a taciturn Southern good ol' boy (Red West) and an extroverted Senegalese taxi driver (Souleymane Sy Savane). Produced by Bahrani and Jason Orans, "Solo" won the 2008 Venice Film Festival's FIPRESCI International Critics Prize.
